Water Rate Exemption
The Scottish government recently revealed small charities, churches and voluntary organisations will be exempt from paying water charges for the next six years. The current exemption, which had been due to run out in 2010 will now be extended to the year 2014. This move follows a huge campaign run by numerous charities and churches organisations to contest the introduction of water charges.
