How are we run?
AEFVCH is run by a Management Committee of volunteers from our member halls, voted into post annually at our AGM. Annandale & Eskdale CVS provides support services to the Federation, including acting as the Secretariat.

Please lookout for our regular newsletters, which is prepared with the member halls in mind.
The newsletters are downloadable and free of charge, and jam packed with useful information that will keep you up-to-date with what is going on, what we have achieved since our last news letter, and of course what our plans are for the future.
What has the Federation done so far?
We’ve helped a number of halls with successful bids to Awards for All, including Eskdalemuir (equipment), Moffat Water (disabled access), and Brydekirk (new kitchen).
We’ve helped our members gain discounts in annual running costs (e.g. fire extinguisher servicing).
We’ve helped two member halls to install internet access through Scottish Executive funding (Templand and Canonbie).
We’ve helped halls develop new sports activities from Annandale & Eskdale Leisure Trust, e.g. Easy Obics lessons at Eaglesfield.
We’ve helped members to run new activities for their community, e.g.
Moffat Water beginners’ IT class run by Community Learning & Development.
We’ve given members information and advice which helped secure water rate rebates (eg. Hightae and Eaglesfield) and increase rents from Active Schools bookings (eg.Boreland and Canonbie).
